This sweet girl came to us with her babies and went into foster care. She did very well in foster but she was kept in one room. When she returned to the shelter she had a traumatic experience with a collar getting caught in her mouth overnight. In the morning we had to hold her down to be able to cut the collar free without cutting her. Sadly during this she lost ALL trust in people. We knew there was an awesome cat inside the scared cat we were looking at. So we gave her a nice cage with a hiding spot and gave her her space. It took 2 months to bring that happy cat back to the surface. She went up for adoption and we thought she finally had a home. @ days later we received the dreaded call that Evelyn was curled up under the bed and wouldn’t let anyone touch her. She was hissing and swatting. We rushed over to get help them and Evelyn. She is back with us and seems just fine. We did however find out that her new mom didn’t follow any of the suggestions that was given to her to help Evelyn with such a large space.

Very sweet will need time to adjust to a new home and people. Very loving and does face rubs when she trusts you.
