Your unrestricted, tax-deductible donation can help in one or more of the following ways:


  • $25 can provide for 5 dog heartworm tests
  • $35 can provide for 15 cat vaccinations
  • $50 can give 100 cats or 50 dogs meals
  • $100 can provide for 15 Felv cat tests
  • $250 can provide for 60 dog vaccinations
  • $1000 can allow us to spay or neuter 25 shelter animals


Shepherd’s Watch

Help guard Portage Animal Protective League's future by becoming a member of Shepherd’s Watch

Bequests can be made in a new will, or an existing will can be easily amended to include a bequest to Portage APL.

Cans for Critters

  • If you would like to help Portage Animal Protective League cats and dogs and help the environment too, we take your empty aluminum pop cans. Bag them up and drop them off on the right side of the shelter in the wire fenced enclosure. Your trash becomes our cash!
  • If you know of anyone with a truck, we need volunteers to help haul to the recyclers located close to Portage APL.
