Welcome

The Portage Animal Protective League (PAPL) is a private, not-for-profit humane society in Portage County, Ohio. To this, PAPL seeks to:

• shelter and find homes for sick, injured, abused, and abandoned pets that have no other alternatives;
• reduce pet over-population through spay/neuter programs; and
• prevent cruelty by enforcing animal protection laws and conducting educational programs.

All of our pets are vet checked, up-to-date with shots, altered, and heartworm-free. Cats are tested for feline leukemia and feline AIDS as well.
