Burton D. Morgan Foundation Funds APL Pole Building for 50 year Anniversary!

Sometimes there aren’t words for the gratitude you feel. Today we cut the ribbon to our new pole building! This building was made possible only due to the generosity of the Burton D. Morgan Foundation. This year is their 50 year anniversary so it is very special. They gave out four, $50,000 grants to commemorate it and Portage APL was a recipient!!! This was a once in a lifetime chance for us to build a much-needed storage building that we could otherwise never be able to afford ourselves.
What a wonderful gift!!! With this gift we can now buy things in bulk, save staff time running to the store twice a week, be more efficient and finally have space to store all the things we need. Saving money means we have more to help animals. President and CEO, Deb Hoover and Program Officer, Angela Evans were on site to cut the ribbon to the gorgeous building they funded. These kinds of gifts last a lifetime and we are so thankful!!! On behalf of the animals, staff, board and volunteers, thank you to the Burton D Morgan Foundation!!!!
